Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in New Jersey

My son was born in Ohio but I live in New Jersey. I want to sue the doctor for medical malpractise since my child was in NICU for 30 days immediately after birth. Should I contact a lawyer in New Jersey or Should I contact a lawyer in Ohio? I cant keep travelling to Ohio to meet the lawyers due to financial constraints. Please advise.

You should contact a lawyer licensed in Ohio as soon as possible, if you are interested in pursuing a possible medical malpractice claim.

Most of your business with the attorney can probably be accomplished over the phone and by mail.

An attorney considering getting involved with your case will want more information than you provided here.

Specifically, he would want to know if you have any reason to suspect that something went wrong with your son's birth.

He also would like to know how if at all your son is experiencing problems.
