Legal Question in Military Law in New Jersey

Military Divorce

I am married to someone in the airforce, he is currently deployed to korea and in the process of filing for divorce. he has taken everything away from me including kicking me out of the house that he says ''he pays for'' with BAH. He also states he is not giving me anything and i can't fight for anything. Is this legal? can he just leave me with no money and no place to live?

Re: Military Divorce

You need to hire an attorney and fight for your rights. The divorce is not final and therefore you have rights to his home and salary. Contact an attorney immediately and begin the process. DO NOT rely on his attorney to process the divorce. An attorney in most cases cannot represent both sides of a contested issue.
