Hurt Child

my 12 year old sone was at his Father's girlfriends house last weekend and he was using a circular saw. he was trying to loosen a bolt using an alen wrench and some how triggered the power and the alen wrench shot like a bullet and the whole thing entered his hand. Do I have a case with the company who made the tool possibly or thru the girls home owners insurance?

Re: Hurt Child

You may have a case against both the homewoner for lack of supervision and against the manufacturer of the circular saw, depending on how the power switch was triggered. I would be happy to discuss this with you in more detail, and, can be reached at 973-635-5400. Our website is @ www.njatty.com, for more information on my firm.

Re: Hurt Child

I believe you do have a case against the homeowner and you may also have a case against the manufacturer (depending on if the saw was designed or manufactured improperly. The medical bills should definitely be submitted to the homeowner's company. If you wish to discuss your son's case further, please call me at 732-286-2170.

Re: Hurt Child

Thanks for the inquiry. There are potential cases against either the manufacturer or the girl's hoemowner's insurance. I would need more facts to effectively evaluate the case. However, I would be happy to discuss it with you at no charge.

we take cases on a contingent basis, which means that there would only be an attoreny's fee if there was a recovery. Since the case involves a monor, the maximum fee is 25%. We also cover the costs of litigation in this type of suit.
