If the child sustained a significant injury, his or her parents and the child may be able to make claims against those entities which control the facility; if there was a lack of supervision, security, or an inordinate risk of harm to the child due to other circumstances. This firm has handled numerous claims surrounding incidents at jails, detention centers and other institutions resulting in injuries. It is important that the incident be investigated and proper Notices of Claim be made in a timely fashion to protect your and the child's rights (typically within 90 days of the occurrence). Please feel free to contact me or one of my partners to discuss this potential claim, by accessing my contact information through this post. I look forward to speaking with you; and we will assist you in whatever way we can.
