Your medical bills will be covered either by your insurance or the insurance that you were in. You must make an application to the insurance carrier to receive those benefits.

With respect to your injuries, an evaluation must be conducted to determine who is responsible for the accident. If you have been seriously injured you will be entitled to be compensated for those injuries.

I definitely believe that you have a claim to recover money for your injuries. However, the very big issue here is how long ago the accident happened, because you have two years from the date of the accident to file a law suit. Therefore, it is very important that you move on this right away.

As a passenger, your medical expenses would be covered under the driver's insurance coverage, unless a member of your household has auto insurance. If it was a two car accident, both your driver and the driver of the other car would be responsible for the pain, suffering and disability that occurred as a result of your injuries, depending, in part, a] on who was at fault for causing the accident and b] the nature of your injuries.
