Legal Question in Personal Injury in New Jersey

I stepped into a batting cage and inserted my token. The first 4 pitches were right down the middle. The 5th hit me square on hip/butt. I watched the remaining 5 pitches go right over the plate. The pain is really tough. The bruise is bigger than a baseball and darker than any bruise I have ever had. Is the cage owner/operator responsible for anything or did I assume responsibility by stepping into the cage with a helmet?
