Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New Jersey

fallen tree limb

after a recent storm a large tree limb from a tree on my property fell into my neighbor's yard. There will be some clean up costs and there was some damage on his property. Who responsible for the costs of the damage? If it is my tree then am I resposible? If it is my neighbor's problem I was going to offer to share the cost.

Thank you for your respose.

Re: fallen tree limb

Your tree, your problem, even if caused by act of nature or god. I suggest you or your neighbor contact your homeowners insurance and advise them of the potential claim.
