Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New Jersey

My name is on foreclosed papers from a house my ex husband's purchased many years after we divorced. Despite calling the attorney's office several times, no one has called me back. Could this be because of an old child support order thru the state that he never paid?

It is likely that you are named as a defendant because of the prior marital relationship. The plaintiff is trying to foreclose any interest that you might have in the property. If you have no interest in it, you need do nothing. That is a guess based on the way that many foreclosure actions are brought. If you want to be sure about your case, you should have a lawyer read the documents as Mr. Henninger suggests.
