Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New Jersey

Good Afternoon,

My boyfriend and his ex girlfriend bought their home together, she no longer lives there, no longer pays any of the bills and has now filed for Bankrucpty and has included the home in it. Over the past year she has respected our wishes and has not come into the home, since we feel we pay for everything. Last night she came in without telling anyone and took her dog, by law is there anything we can do? Change the locks? Get the key back something? I know her name is still on the Deed but she gave all her bills to him hes doing everything.

Please advise is there anything we can do in this awful sticky situation.

You boyfriend should consult with a business lawyer in order to protect his interest in the house. There is a real danger that his interest can be compromised in the bankruptcy proceedings. He has to act to protect it.
