Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New Jersey

Realtor Shows house property damaged

My house is listed for sale. A sales agent was showing the house while I was away. Upon my return home the bifold doors to my laundry room were completely torn of their hinges and left laying against the dryer. The realtor left their card but no note about the damage. It is clear someone did not realize they were bifold doors and yanked them very hard tearing them off the track and they were left leaning against the dryer. Who is liable for this repair?

Re: Realtor Shows house property damaged

You need to call your realtor who should have a list of all the agents from any realty who have shown the house. Tell them what has happened. Whatever realtor was at the property during that time should be responsible for any damages.
