Not sure what you mean by your question, but:

If it was put into your name by a Quit Claim Deed that was properly recorded and you did not want the property, you may have a new Quit Claim Deed prepared back to the person who deeded it to you, sign the new deed in the presence of a notary public, and record it.

If that was not the case, it's not clear how the property is in your name. Generally, you remove your name from a property by having a deed prepared from you to the person you want to have own the property, and signing as described in the previous paragraph, and recording the signed deed.

There are recording fees and transfer taxes associated with recording any deed. Those are payable to the Clerk's office where Deeds are recorded.

THIS RESPONSE IS NOT LEGAL ADVICE, SINCE I DO NOT HAVE ALL OF THE INFORMATION THAT WOULD BE REQUIRED, AND I DO NOT HAVE A REPRESENTATION AGREEMENT WITH YOU.

* If the answers to your question confirm that you have a valid issue or worthwhile claim, your next step should almost always be to establish a dialog with a lawyer who can provide specific advice to you. Contact a lawyer in your county or township.

* Another reason for contacting a lawyer is that it is often impossible to give a good answer in the Internet Q&A format without having more information. The unique circumstances of your situation and things that you may not have thought to mention in your question may completely change the answer. If you want to be sure that you have a complete answer to your question and an understanding of what that answer means, establish a connection with a lawyer who practices in the area of your concern.

I read Miriam's answer and I am a little confused also. However, quick answer is your doing a new Deed transferring your interest to whomever is the person entitled to it.
