sale of a co-owned property

what legal options do I have to cash out my share of a co-owned property if the co-owner refuses to sell the whole house

You need to talk to an attorney about a Partition law suit. This is the only way to get your money out of the house unless the co-owner is willing to buy you out. If I can be of help to you, please call for an appointment.

I agree with Bernard that this will probably require a suit for Parition, and that a good real estate attorney should be contacted to help you.
