Most lawyers will estimate the time to complete the transaction and convert this to a fee number. Representing a Seller is easier, so the time invoved is usually less than the time to represent a Buyer. However, this assumes no problems arising from the home inspection or other possible problems, which could add to the time. Plus, the location of the closing and travel time to get there and back are also factors. Rough estimate, assuming minimal problems and travel time, would be about $750 to $1,000, which would translate to between 3-4 hours of time.

I charge flat fee of $1,000.00, but if other things come up that take time I will charge for that too. I agree pretty much with what the other lawyer wrote.
