Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New Jersey

Township is very rude and uncooperative. They have had our building permit for over 8 weeks and when we went to pick it up they told us we have to wait because we didn't fill out a zoning permit.

We submitted papers for zoning permit (2 weeks ago) and were told "don't come down here or call here or have anyone else come down here or call here". When I asked when the zoning permit would be done, I was told "whenever he gets around to it". I spoke with the mayor re the abusive

manner in which the employee spoke to me and he said that I shouldn't expect special treatment!

He also told me that it isn't the job of the township employees to tell me what paperwork I need but

it was my fault for not knowing the codes and requirements. Since my solar panels need to be installed and inspected in order for me to get my refund from Fed gov, state of NJ and PSE&G, my questions is how do I get them to release my paperwork?

That is outrageous. Really outrageous. It sounds like they don't like you, don't like your solar panels and want to delay you, maybe forever. It does not matter if they like you or your solar panels, they have to do their jobs.

Give me a call, make an appointment to come see me, and let's get moving on this for you.

Please keep in mind that my response is just a general comment on your question, and not legal advice. Your question and any response does NOT create an attorney-client relationship between you and this law firm. The exact details of your situation and things that you have not mentioned in your question can completely change the answer to your question. You can not rely upon what I have written, because I do not have all of the information that I need to advise you, I only have the very small amount of information that you put into your question. For me to give you any legal advice, I would need for you to hire me to be your lawyer, and then we would need to discuss this in detail and go over the documents.
