Re: Tree Removal

I DISAGREE WITH DAVID. IF IT WAS YOUR NEIGHBOR'S TREE AND FELL ONTO YOUR LOT, THE NEIGHBOR IS RESPONSIBLE. HE SHOULD BE COVERED UNDER HIS HOMEOWNERS' INSURANCE FOR THIS. YOU MAY HAVE TO ACTUALLY ARRANGE FOR THE REMOVAL, SINCE THE TREE IS ON YOUR LAND, BUT HE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE COST. I SUGGEST CONTACTING HIM AND HAVING HIM NOTIFY HIS INSURER, AND ARRANGE FOR THE REMOVAL AND BILLING/REIMBURSEMENT. THIS IS A RESPONSE TO ANY INTERNET QUESTION AND THE REPLY IS NOT INTENDED TO BE LEGAL ADVICE OR TO CREATE AN ATTORNEY-CLIENT RELATIONSHIP. MISSING FACTS COULD PRODUCE A DIFFERENT REPLY.
