Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in New Jersey

What if I am wrongfully accused?

I got into a slight dissagreement with a boss at work, the following day, the bosses friend and his wife said I sexually harassed her..They clean the offices at night. They will not give me the letter she supposedly wrote to the company complaining about me sexually harrassing her and I have had no prior complaints, only good remarks about my work. Now they have terminated me, What should I do?

Re: What if I am wrongfully accused?

From your comments, it is unclear who all the parties are. Are the cleaning people employees of your former employer (in other words, your former co-workers)? Are the cleaning people employees of some other company?

If your bosses' friend and wife are making these kinds of statements to your employer, and the statements are false, you may have a cause of action for slander.
