Legal Question in Tax Law in New Jersey
tax refund for illegal immigrants
My friend is illegal immigrant. She does have tin number and filed and paid taxes for the last several years. Both last and this year she has received tax refund check from US Gov (because she overpaid taxes). She hasn�t cash these checks because she was afraid of consequences. Can she cash these checks?

Yes, your friend should cash the check! She should also talk to an immigration attorney!
