Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey

Defective NJ Parking Summons

I was issued a ticket for street cleaning. However, the ticket has info printed in the wrong fields, as if the paper was misaligned in the traffic officer's device. Much of the info is difficult to read. Does this render the ticket defective? Can this be dismissed?

I tried disputing but was found guilty. Should I appeal?

The filing fee for the appeal is probably more than the ticket. There has to be better things in your life to focus on.

New Jersey works on what is called the "notice system". That means that if the ticket puts you on notice about what you are being charged with, mistakes on the ticket won't get you out of it.

As for appealing, the ticket has no points and the fees are way higher than the fine. Move on. Call me if you would like to discuss it further at 877*688*3879.
