Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey

driving on closed road 39:4-94-2b

i was going fishing at floodgate, there was 2 road closed sighns but both were pulled aside, at the end of the road were the police they gave me a ticket...but allowed 3 other cars to turn around and be on their way.. should i fight this?

It depends on how much of an inconvenience the court appearance would be. There are no points to this tickets, so it would not have any impact on your insurance if you paid it, but you are also not risking very much if you have a trial.

I am familiar with this statute and it requires that you KNOWINGLY drive on a closed. If the judge believes your explanation, it is hard to believe that you would be found guilty.
