Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey

I got a d.w.i in 2008 and did everything required: suspension, idrc, and am now completing the 16 week outpatient program idrc required. Before i knew IDRC would make me do that, i completed 23 weeks. Now the counselor is trying to make me do more and more. Is this wrong? Can I fight this?

You should be able to substitute the treatment which you have received for that required.

Call me if you like.

The IDRC has a lot of discretion in what it can make you do, but its not unlimited. If you think the counselor is being unreasonable, your best shot at getting the requirement changed is probably to have an attorney get involved. Call me if you'd like to discuss it further. 877\688\3879.

There is a possibility you can change the situation, if you have done everything that was initially required and the counselor seems to be acting unresonably in what is now being asked. As the prior attorney stated the IDRC has a wide range of discretion, but it is not unlimited. You would probably want to contact your original lawyer, but if that is not possible it would not hurt to consult an attorney, feel free to call if you would like to discuss it further.
