Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey

Improper U-turn

I was given a ticket for making an illegal u-turn in Seaside Heights, NJ. I stopped on a particular street, very wide and long, dropped off a friend and turned around to go in the opposite direction. I was pulled over by an officer and he eventually gave me a ticket , now this happened 3 blocks away from where I turned around and on a totally different street and I saw he put the place where he pulled me over for "location of offense". Now at the time I didn't know what's what, since I was from out of state and only visiting in NJ, but I went back to the actual street where I turned around and there was no sign forbidding u-turns, the street was Grant AVE in Seaside, pretty much the widest street, goes from the Boardwalk to the Bay, and I stopped to turn around approximately in the middle of the street's length and I also had a friend with me.

My question it, can I plead non guilty in court and win this, it is three points and 85 $ and I think it was wrong to give me this ticket.

If you can get the judge to believe your story as to where the turn occurred you will be found guilty.
