are motor vehicle violations still in effect after 10 years?

you may want to clarify your question. Do you mean that if you have ignored a ticket for ten years will it magically go away? the answer is no it still remains active, if there is something more specific that you need addressed, you may want to be more specifc, nothing just drops off your drivers abstract, different rules apply to different kinds of tickets, so be more specifc and I am sure someone will answer your question or you can call me and I will I will be happy to try and answer it, (201)-894-9498

That depends.

If you mean can you be issued a new ticket for a motor vehicle violation that happened 10 years ago, the answer is no.

If you already have a ticket that you haven't dealt with, it will stay with you forever.

If you already resolved a ticket, it will still be in the records after 10 years and will count for some purposes but not for others. Give me a call if you want to discuss it further. 201-530-1500
