Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey

Part 2 .Unfair ticket.. discrimination?

continuance.........unfair ticket.

I was not stopped because I forgot the registration sticker on my license plate, I was told by the officer that the passengers in back of my car appeared to look ''suspicious'' because they were wearing wavecaps on their head. I would understand if i was careless driving, but i wasnt. Like I mentioned before thereafter i was given the ticket for the rosary in the mirror and the sticker, which by the way the registration was up to date.Like I've mentioned before then i realized my insurance was expired. What Im tryin to point out here if its appropriate for a police to stop you because the way you are dressed, isnt this considered discrimination?

The officer has to have probable cause to lawfully stop you. Is not having the little sticker on your license plate indicating that you renewed your annual license plate registration enough? That is a question that I believe is still up in the air. I think it's not but I'm a defense attorney. I had a very similar case to yours where the officer said the reason for the stop was the sticker but he did not issue a ticket for the sticker (I don't think it's a violation but I may be wrong).

If you only got a ticket for obstructing your vision (because of the beads), you may want to fight it and let the judge decide. Is the officer going to stop every grandmother with rosary beads on their rear view mirror, I don't think so.

Post another question with a little more detail about the stop from the beginning to end and list the tickets you received.

Otherwise as Gary Moore said, schedule a Consultation but not with his office but mine.
