Does the passenger have to provide ID during a traffic stop?

Depends on the situation. Initially, an officer would not ask for the passengers information unless there are other issues that arise. If they find drugs in the car or if the Driver cannot drive because the operator has suspended license, the Officer would probably seek to inquire if one of the other people in the car could drive it and may ask for your credentials. If something leads them to ask you for I D, they can ask for your information and you would be expected to provide your I D ( the caveat, the Officer needs reasonable grounds to ask for your ID) As with most situations it depends on the facts
