If your license was suspended and you knew it was suspended, then you should not have been driving. Based on what you have written it is hard to tell if you have a defense. Keep in mind that driving with a suspended license is a very serious ticket. A first offense carries a fine of $500.00 plus court costs and a potential further loss of your license for up to 6 months. If it is a second offense the fines are higher and besides a further suspension you would face between 1 and 5 days in jail. A third offense would expose you to a mandatory 10 days in jail, plus severe fines and a further suspension. Again, I do not have time to outline all the possible penalties that you could face in varying situations, but I believe that it would pay to speak to an attorney about your situation. I have been handling these kind of cases for over twenty years. My fees are reasonable and I never charge a fee to merely speak to someone about their case, please feel free to call with any questions (201)-342-5030
