Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey

Received speeding ticket in excess of 15-19 in Stratford, in a school zone. I do not believe I was really going that fast, but I'll admit I was traveling with the flow of traffic, and after what I thought was school hours. Officer advised me to show up on date written on card and he will help me with points. Does that mean i plead guilty or not guilty in order to get help on the points. Also if I call to plead not-guilty as instructed on the card, will they re-schedule me to another date where i won't receive any help to reduce points?

You need to call to enter your not guilty plea. The officer will not amend the ticket, the prosecutor will. I think you will wind up paying between $600.00 and $750.00 for a no point ticket if you do this yourself.

Or you can hire a lawyer to do the job and maybe save a few dollars.
