Re: Traffic Summons

Usually except for certain more serious cases such as leaving the scene or other exceptions, the complaint must be written and served within thirty (30)days including the time for service of the ticket or summons within the 30-day period--the court recently ruled on that issue limiting it to thirty days including service upon the defendant. This means you have a defense if written or served outside that time of the limitations eriod as we say.

Re: Traffic Summons

In addition to what Mr. Moore said, the law on this issue just changed so I would have to look at it. If you don't have the ticket yet, there is nothing you can do but wait. If you get it at some point, contact an attorney to discuss it.
