Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey

i got a wreckless driving ticket from an off duty cop. i think i turned in from of him changing lanes and he got mad. honking his horn and tailgating me bad. its goes on for about 10 min before he pulls side of me and shows a badge. i was really mad before he showed me the badge then i felt scared and stupid for the whole thing. Any advise. What can they do if they have no proof?

It sounds like road rage from the off duty cop. I can probably help you downgrade or totally beat this charge against you. Please contact me to discuss your case in more detail. I never charge for just talking to a person about their case. Thank you.

Wow, that's some situation. I guess it really depends on what town he is a cop in. Same town or another one? Your defense will turn on how much money you want to throw at this. Call us at 732/773/2768 to discuss.

The ticket is 5 points, but basically it is your word against his and he and you are the only witnesses. There is no guarantee about anything, but you may want to consider rolling dice. for purposes of a plea the prosecutor would probably consider downgrading the ticket to careless which is only 2 points, it depends how much this guy objects, It certainly does not sound like he was very professional about the whole situation and acted improperly. Is he an officer from the town where the ticket was issued? Please feel free to contact me as I would be interested in hearing more about the situation. I do not charge a consultation fee and my overall fees are very reasonable (201)-894-9498
