Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New Jersey

Dear Sir/Ms.

I have elderly parents. My father was abusive to me and is a very hard man. On one occasion He told me that I better hope He dies before my mother otherwise I will get nothing. I am on disability. I am extremely close to my mother. I have 3 brothers and two sisters. Some I am close too. If my mother died before my father. (my father 80 is in excellent shape and even works out) while my mother has a heart condtion and is 76). My mother told me that she is giving me her wedding ring. Does my father have a right to cancel me out of the will if my mother dies before him? Thanks you,

If your mother dies first, and her Will includes you as a beneficiary, no...your father cannot "cancel you out of the Will."
