When can the executor of an estate in NJ take all or part of their commission ? Any associated time and/or amount limits ?
Can they take a payment from the estate as an advance within 3 months of becoming executor ?

Yes, the commission need not be paid all at once and/or all at the conclusion of the estate admin.
