Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New Jersey
My mother just passed after a two yr battle with Cancer , During that time some medical expences have reached over 62,000 .. Is this gonna be a lien on the estate?

Creditors have a right to file claims against an estate. Whether the full amount is actually re-paid depends upon the value of the estate and its liabilities. In New Jersey, when the estate does not have sufficient assets, there is an order to the priority of re-payment of claims.

I agree and add, if thyere are no priorities in claims (all are egual and unsecurred), you must treat all creditors equally and cannot settle with some and not others.
