Possibly, but some important facts are missing. How was Deed titled? Did your father have a Will and what did it provide? Did they have any marital agreements? Who owned house originally, or did they buy it together? Did the step-mother have any children herself? What does step-mother's Will provide? This may a case where someone (your father) may have gotten bad advice many years ago and he had done nothing to protect you in the mix of things.

I need more information to give you any answer. Give me a call, come in and see me (bring a copy of the Will and a copy of the Deed to the house) and we will talk it over. No charge for the first office visit.
