Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New Jersey

No Will

My father died and didn't leave a will. His landlord who is a relative and the landlord's sister have taken several of his possessions without my consent. They're pretty confident that is within their rights because they were paid to take care of him before he died. As his daughter, what rights do I have to his assets?

Re: No Will

If you are the only heir, you are entitled to the entire estate. You will need to be appointed administrator of your father's estate - a simple procedure through the Surrogate's office where he was rsiding when he passed away. Then you are entitled to represent the estate and contest their actions if done improperly.
