Legal Question in Workers Comp in New Jersey

Husband Herniated disk in July, 2006 on job

My husband herniated his L5 disk back in july while lifting a heater on the job. He went out on workman's comp for about 3 mths and then was told he could go back to work but to take it easy. Before going back to work my husband demanded that he be put into the service dept. which is lighter on the back than new construction. He was promised by the owner that he would be put into service, now 2 mths later he has reinjured his back to the point where he cannot go back to work again and may have to have surgery because they did not put him into service like they had promised. Should he think about getting settlement from workman's comp?

There are a number of issues that your husband needs assistance with; accomodation at work, payment of medical and award for a permanent ability.

There are a few addtional facts that we would need to respond fully and appropriately to your inquiry.

We have 5 attorneys who only practice worker's comp. We would be happy to discuss his case with him. Most, if not all, fees are paid by the comp carrier. Please give us a call.

Your husband has a legitimate claim for a permanent disability award through workers compensation. He should definitely explore filing a claim to receive this award. I am an attorney who has handled hundreds of workers compensation claims in various courts in New Jersey in the past. I would like to discuss your husband's claim in more detail. Please contact me at your convenience. I never charge for simply talking to a person about their case. Thank you.
