Workmans Compensation Eligability

After sustaining an on the job injury I was incarserated for 10 weeks were I received treatment for the injury. I was told by workmans compensation that I was not eigable for the payment because I was not recieving authorized treatment. I received sergery for the injury while detained and was released a week afterthe bandages were removed. I was still not cleared for work after being examined by the company clinic and was told that I would only be paid for the date after my release. Am I intitled to be paid for the 10 week that I was detained?

Depending on the specific facts of your case, you may still be eligible for temporary disability payments for the period of incarceration. I would need to review all the medical evidence in your case and then file a motion with the court to get you paid for those ten weeks (if the record supports such a motion). More importantly, it sounds like you had a very serious injury and would most likely be entitled to a permanent diability award (money for your injury). Sounds like you are getting the run around from your employer and the insurance company and the only way to get the benefits you are entitled to is to hire a lawyer who can fight for your rights which are:
