Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in New Mexico

If i cosigned on a bond for a person and they failed to appear in court can a bounty hunter put me in hand cuffs and hold me or arrest me for any reason? or can the harrass any part of my family?

No, you are not legally subject to arrest as you are not the fugitive. You may be held legally responsible for the bond, however, if the fugitive is not caught before it is forfeited by the court.
