burial rights

Does the mother of a diseased adult have legal right over the diseased's adult children, in regards to funeral arrangements? The diseased did not have a will.

No, the children as direct and immediate descendants of the deceased should have superior rights to those of the parents in deciding such matters.(One of these should apply to the local

probate court to be appointed as the administrator

for the estate of the deceased who apparently died intestate.)
