name change

If I want to change only my ''first'' and ''middle'' name, do I need a name change forms kit so it will be legal?

Re: name change

The policy behind having a law that addresses

people changing their names is to help eliminate

or prevent fraud to creditors. Thus, if you want

to be known, legally, by a different name you have

to follow the law. The law does not say only follow

or apply this law if you are changing a part of your

name. It says, for change of name do the following.

Thus, the answer to your question is "yes." Do the

kit, do it yourself or hire a lawyer. But, follow

the law.

Good luck.

Re: name change

You could probably get by without legally changing your name, but to be legal you have to jump through the hoops.
