Cyfd took my step children and passed the buck on to ihs and closed a voluntary case, in which we can not git answers eventhough we do all the things requested

You're not giving me enough information to understand the situation so I can only give you general guidance.

If a child is taken into custody by CYFD the dept has to file a petition within 48 hours or release the child to the parent, guardian or custodian. Not clear to me from what you say if you are one of those. The parent guardian or custodian must be given an attorney at least until an indigency hearing can be held. Filing a petition means the case in is children's court and if you are a party (parent guardian or custodian) you can find out what's going on by calling the children's court attorney. Call the court handling your case and ask for the number of the children's court attorney.
