Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New Mexico

employer allowed assault from crew leader

One of my coworkers was assaulted by our crew leader. The coworked speaks very little english. The crew leader was trying to show the coworker how to do something,he grabbed her behind the neck pushed her towards what he wanted her to see and called her a dummy. It brought to the employer attention, and nothing was done to the crewleader. My coworker is very afriad of this man now as well as other employees. Shouldn't the employer have done something about this?

Re: employer allowed assault from crew leader

It may be a criminal assault if she wishes to pursue that. The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission accepts complaints such as this from workers. They are in the blue pages in the front of your phone book.
