I was placed on unpaid administrative leave on Monday this week. I have received no prior disciplinary action, can the company legally do this?

You have not provided sufficient information for a precise answer. Probably they can do it, as NM is an employment-at-will state. If you wish to reveal the reasons for your suspension, you can get a better answer. If you do not wish to do so publicly, email us privately. [email protected]
