Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New Mexico

I lease a home in New Mexico. My landlord is looking to refinance the home I lease. My lease says that I must allow the owner reasonable access to exhibit the premises to any mortgagee. I am willing to allow the landloard's agent and the bank appraiser into the home. However, the agent is telling me that I must leave the home (and take my dogs with me) during the two or more hours that the appraiser will be in the home. This will also cause me to miss work during this time (as I work in the home). I feel this is an unreasonable request and violates my right to peaceably occupy the rental unit. Can my landlord or his agent force me to leave the home during the bank appraisal?

Unless the lease requires it, you are not obligated to leave your home/office for the purposes stated.
