You are eligible for workers compensation benefits. If you are a full time employee and your employer carried workers compensation, you are entitled to medical benefits and wages. If they did not carry W.C. insurance, there is a state fund that will provide the benefits. Also, if the music place was careless in stacking or securing the wood, you can sue them for pain and suffering.

You may have a case against the place where the music class was. I would need to know more facts, particularly about the wood pile, how it was stacked and why it fell. I am a former federal and State prosecutor and now handle personal injury cases. Feel free to check out my web site and contact me.

Ask your employer about workers compensation coverage. Your injury appears to have occurred while working. If the injury is serious, you might also consider a claim against the music school, if the facts allow. Best, M. E. Zuller
