Legal Question in Disability Law in New York

I am in college and was accused of stealing my roomate's I.D. card and using the money on it worth about $300. I signed a legal document saying I didn't do it. They are checking video survalliance to see if I lied. If they do see I lied, they said the school is going to press charges against me and that lying on the legal document makes it worse. I believe it was a Class A Misdemeanor. I wanted to know if it was my first offense on a clean record how long am I facing in jail, and can I get bailed out? Up to how much would it cost to get me bailed out? Would they kick me out of college if I agreed to pay them back somehow or settled with probation or something? I am 18 and in under New York State Law. Thanks.
