Second Bankruptcy

I live on Long Island in New York State, and have a question about filing a second bankruptcy. When or how soon can I file a second Chapter 7? I filed in April of 1998 and it was discharged in August of 1998. I am in a real dilema and am disabled and living on a very small income,unfortunetly leaving me unable to repay the debt I have incurred, including the IRS.

You can file a second Chapter 7 six year and one day after the date of the discharge of your first case. As such, you can re-file in August.
