Legal Question in Bankruptcy in New York

Court of Appeals Rues

The FRAP (Federal Rules of Appeal Procedure) state that a principal or main Brief cannot be more than 30 pages, one inch on all sides, and must use proportional or mono-space

Roman letters. My question is, does the court allow for any departure from these regulations at all--can a Brief be 34-36 pages, use Verdana instead of Roman letters and what is the meaning of proportional versus mono-space?

Re: Court of Appeals Rues

While the FRAP controls the form and procedure of petitions, a non-lawyer is not held to as high a standard. The courts are often very forgiving for a petitioner who represents himself. good luck.
