Your answer depends on many things, such as the business entity, your tax situation, the law of the other state, etc. I recommend you engage the services of a business attorney to help you navigate the waters of expanding across state lines; the issues are too numerous to even begin to deal with in this forum (they are not, however, all that daunting when you are working with your lawyer).
