Legal Question in Business Law in New York
I have confidentiality agreement. I would like to add a clause that the other part is required to pay me a certain percentage of the deal we are signing on. What would the wording be. He owes 1.5% of the total value of the sale. How would you word that?

As a Franchise Attorney I can say this. The precise wording depends on the details of the parties, the confidentiality agreement and other factors. That's why you go to see a lawyer. Consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.

My colleague is correct. You need to consult with an attorney admitted to practice in New York about the exact wording of this clause and whether additional clauses need to be added.
I would be happy to chat with you further. Feel free to contact my office at you earliest convenience.
