Legal Question in Business Law in New York

Distribution of goods from germany in the U.S

I'm the distributer of a firm in Germany. I started my Business 3 months ago and I don't have a contract with the company in germany yet. I want to make sure, that I'm the only distributer in the U.S of the products and have a legal business agreement. I also want to be able to quit my business relations with the company at any time. Is there a sample contract in your database? ( I coudn't find one ) If not, could you write me a sample contract? Or should I go to a lawyer or accountant in my area?

With High Respect, S.

It would be prudent to discuss this matter with counsel, especially since the foreign company will/may most likely wish to submi their own distribution agreement to you. To rely on a form without the benefit of counsel may hurt you in the long run.

Feel free to contact me at [email protected] or at 212-764-5428 or at 845-878-2163 if you wish.

Any form agreement that you might locate would be dangerous without professional input.

This is a complex area and you should retain counsel to guide you through the process.

It's important that you get it right the first time.
