Legal Question in Business Law in New York

Florida resident, owner of Delaware S-Corp. My business is a subscription based online business catering to the financial community (subscribers from 20+ states). I would like to setup mail forwarding in NY basically to give the impression that I have a bigger company than reality. Having my home address on my business cards has brought skepticism from new prospects.

Knowing the above, if I setup NY mail forwarding to my official business address (my home address), would I be forced to authorize as a foreign corporation in NY and possibly be subject to NY taxes?

Yes -- you will be considered as having a presence in NY. As far as taxes, you will be responsible for the portion earned in NY. At issue would be the question of what portion is earned in NY.
